5 ways Fedor fighting for Strikeforce will be felt

1. No Fedor Emelianenko vs. Brock Lesnar. This sucks only because it’s the only way to know how good UFC heavyweight champ Lesnar really is. Until this fight happens, Lesnar is a bit of a paper champion.

2. No more cartoon matchups like Fedor vs. Hong Man Choi. Instead, we’ll get Fedor vs. Alistair Overeem, Brett Rogers and Fabricio Werdum.

3. Fedor on Showtime or (gulp!) CBS is way cheaper than a UFC pay-per-view and it also means way more mainstream exposure and not of the Kimbo Slice variety.

4. Having the world’s top fighter in its stable will only attract other talented fighters to Strikeforce, making them stronger, which is good for the sport in general. And the UFC will have to increase its efforts to maintain its competitive edge.

5. Dammit, it still feels like the best player in baseball going to play for a AA team in Syracuse.
