Replacement robot

Just a quick follow-up to my report that Evangelista “Cyborg” Santos has had to withdraw from his scheduled fight with Special Forces sniper Tim Kennedy at September 25’s Strikeforce Challengers event. No, Cyborg wasn’t injured by his wife during post-Carano-victory sex as some of you sickos have suggested (I have no idea what his injury is, how it was caused and I’d prefer not to have the image of Cyborg intimacy in my head, thank you very much).
Oh, MMA Mania is reporting that it’s a knee injury suffered during training. Anyway, Cyborg’s replacement is middleweight Zak Cummings, who scored a split-decision upset win over UFC veteran Terry Martin at XCF: Rumble in Racetown earlier this year.
And if that’s the best his record has, it makes him a horrible substitute for what is scheduled to be the headlining fight. One step forward with Strikeforce: Carano vs. Cyborg, one step back with Strikeforce: Army guy vs. this other dude.
