Thales Leites and Dean Lister headline Friday’s MFC 23 in Edmonton

I rarely give the Alberta-based promotion Maximum Fighting Championships the attention it deserves but here’s news worth noting. Friday’s MFC 23 will feature former UFC middleweight contender (and Anderson Silva flop-mate) Thales Leites vs. fellow BJJ black belt and former ADCC champ Dean Lister in the headliner. The co-main event sees former UFC fighter Jason MacDonald vs. Ultimate Fighter 3 cast member Solomon Hutcherson (whom I have no memory of) and Marvin Eastman meets Dwayne Lewis. Not a bad lineup for a small promotion.
